When you get a call to photograph a tribute for a legend, you feel honored, and encouraged to give back to the people who remain and will remember Murray Louis as an incredible artist. Here are a few images from Murray Louis's Celebration of Life at the Henry Street Playhouse last week. Dancers from Marymount Manhattan performed works from Louis's repertory. RIP Murray.

it takes a full weekend, plus two days, because there are so many good times happening. My dear friends Alex and Jonathan got married this last September in Maine. Jonathan grew up in Bar Harbor, and was able to have the wedding festivities on his parents property. It was a treat to get away for the weekend with friends I've known for 10 years, and get our girl married. For a few of us, it was our first time ever to be in a wedding. I shoot a number of weddings every year, so it was a new experience and a thrill to be a part of Alex's bridal party.
Many great memories to enjoy through participating. I was able to make some images of Alex and Jonathan's special day - definitely couldn't resist bringing my camera!

Being in studio with a dance company is an intimate thing. You hear the corrections to the dancers, see the effort and time it takes to make a work come together. I had the pleasure to see PTAMD rehearse Martha Graham's Diversion of Angels at their studio a couple weeks ago and then again today on stage at Lincoln Center.
